Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 30, 2026
ResumeForge ("we", "us") builds an online resume/CV builder. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the rights you have over it. We aim to collect as little as possible — most of your resume work stays in your own browser.
Data we collect
- Resume content you type — stored locally in your browser by default. If you sign in, we store a copy on our servers so you can sync across devices.
- Email address — only if you sign in (passwordless magic link) or buy a download. We use it to authenticate you, sync your resumes, send your receipt, and restore access.
- Payment data — card payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We store a record of which plan you bought and your customer/session identifiers from Stripe to grant downloads and process refunds.
- Basic technical data — standard server logs (IP, user agent, timestamps) needed to operate and secure the service.
How we use it
- To provide the builder, save and sync your resumes, and unlock paid downloads.
- To send transactional email (sign-in links, receipts). We do not send marketing email.
- To prevent fraud and abuse and to keep the service running.
What we never do
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your resume content with third parties for advertising. We do not run third-party ad trackers on the builder.
Processors we rely on
- Cloudflare — hosting, database, and content delivery.
- Stripe — payment processing (see Stripe's own privacy policy).
- Resend — sending transactional sign-in / receipt emails.
Data retention
Saved resumes and account data are kept while your account is active. Purchase records are retained as required for accounting and refund handling. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time (see below).
Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA)
You may request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any right, email [email protected]. We respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Cookies
We use a single first-party cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies.
Children
The service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
